“Franco-Jeunes*NB” is an after-school francization and homework support program for newcomers from kindergarten to 8th grade – a complimentary service that ensures continuous learning after a full school day.
The program’s vision is to improve the perseverance and school successes of immigrant students enrolled in New Brunswick’s southeastern Francophone schools through francization workshops, tutoring, and support on the school premises given after classes are done.
• Accelerate the francization of young newcomers.
• Reduce learning delays and dropout rates.
• Encourage students to acquire effective work methods and develop their ability to work independently.
• Achieve the goals of the school educational project and multiply the chances for school successes.
• Increase student’s interest for Francophone schools in minority communities.
• Reduce the need for francization at the high school level.
