School-community partnership fund
Created in 2010, this fund aims to help organizations outside the education system that want to work towards:
- Improving Francophone education services in New Brunswick;
- Taking actions that contribute to academic success and identity building in each and every Acadian and Francophone community in the province.
Through this fund, the GACEF supports more than 15 initiatives a year. In 2016-2017, 21 projects received approximately $300,000 in investments. Thanks to this funding, many projects will see the light of day over the next year, most notably Développer des compétences culinaires un atelier à la fois, a series of workshops organized by the Réseau des cafétérias communautaires, and Émergence à l’écrit pour la petite enfance, a project organized by the Acadian Peninsula book fair.
