Our role
Located in the heart of Acadie, between the Atlantic Coast and Quebec, New Brunswick is the only officially bilingual province in Canada. The Acadian and Francophone community has a strong cultural identity and proclaims loud and clear its language and culture. This identity, with a rich and complex history, has been forged over the years.
The Acadian and Francophone identity is open to the world and values diversity in all its forms.
Taking the Next Step for New Brunswick Acadian and Francophone’s History is the mission we have set for ourselves.
New Brunswick is part of the international Francophonie where it is gradually becoming more prominent. With this movement, we want to create an inclusive approach that will spark everyone’s interest to keep our common French language alive. Together, we can make a difference within Francophone communities across the world.
The French language and culture have been at the heart of New Brunswick for over 400 years. It’s now our turn – let’s take the next step in our story!
