Taking the Next Step’s presence on social media and on various online forums represents an invitation to create a vibrant and enlightening space to share and discuss different themes around the New Brunswick Politique d’aménagement linguistique et culturel (PALC) (the Linguistic and Cultural Development Policy - LCDP).
Since Taking the Next Step is a societal project, comments from web users are important and welcome. Taking the Next Step wants to create a collective movement by encouraging discussions between those who are interested in any subjects related to New Brunswick’s LCDP.
Information and identity authenticity
Any person who wants to discuss with the organization’s members or participate in a discussion regarding New Brunswick’s LCDP on Taking the Next Step’s online platforms needs to identify himself or herself. Taking the Next Step reserves the right not to post a comment if there are any concerns about the identity of the person who wrote it.
Misusing the identity of a blogger, writer, moderator or anybody else is not tolerated and will be reported. It is recommended for web users to make sure the content they want to publish is original and does not violate property rights, confidentiality rights or any third-party rights.
Interactions and discussions

Comments with hyperlinks leading directly to a website or another online source considered to be illegal, inappropriate, obscene, offensive, defamatory, menacing, distasteful or unrelated to subjects related to New Brunswick’s LCDP will not be tolerated.
Some platforms do not allow web users to delete or modify their message once published. This is the reason why we encourage everyone to think twice before posting something and be aware of the consequences it could lead to.
Taking the Next Step will delete any comments related to potential, impending or ongoing litigation. Posting messages or comments repetitively are detrimental to the discussions and will not be tolerated.
Language
The language used on online platforms and other media by Taking the Next Step is usually French, which is why Taking the Next Step will automatically respond to questions in French. However, Taking the Next Step is able to answer in English for non-Francophones with questions or requests.
Outreach
By posting on Taking the Next Step’s social media or other online forums, web users give Taking the Next Step the permission and the right to use and circulate their content free of charge, for any period of time and for any purpose deemed useful.
