There are so many ways to get engaged. You just need to find a cause or something that motivates you!

Here are some examples:

• Help support an organization, for example: Volunteer to welcome newcomers
• Influence decisions, for example: Join a committee
• Express yourself, share your point of view, for example: Publish an opinion letter in a newspaper
• Organize activities, for example: A student exchange between Francophone and Anglophone schools in the province
• Get informed, for example: Learn about Acadian and Francophone authors in order to better understand that community
• Get elected, for example: Participate in elections in your school or community
• Share your ideas, for example: Talk about the advantages of bilingualism with your friends
• Vote

Becoming engaged doesn’t necessarily mean having to be at the forefront of every event; it can also mean taking on low-profile roles, which are by no means less important. You can choose how engaged you want to become according to your schedule, resources or interests.
